You're looking at an antique U.K. manufactured Cardex DLS (Direct Light System) factory task light in excellent working condition and dating to approx the 1920s. This is a rare find in the UK, let alone the US and this example is in superb condition with all articulating knuckles performing as they should. The steel arms do not have any bends or repairs and much of the original black finish is present, as is the manufacturer's decal. The original porcelain enamel shade is also in great shape. This piece was designed to be wall mounted and it can easily be pivoted to direct light where it's required. Overall the patina of this lamp is superb with wear commensurate with age including marks, pitting, dings etc; which all add to the character and authenticity of the piece. This item has been rewired using vintage-style black twisted cord (10') and a new plug. It doesn't have a switch so it needs to be turned off at the outlet. Works perfectly and ready to be mounted to your wall. Measures approx 30" long including the shade. The mounting area is approx 2.25" x 2.25".
