Will consider serious reasonable offers, if you would like to submit them before end of sale.

The edited film SEEN HERE was finished for broadcast purposes on 1 inch video tape (\"old school\" mastering format) in July of 1981.(They are both 30 seconds each with English Titles)These are one-of-a-kind edited color PRINTS created for the Television Marketing Campaign back in July of 1981... don\'t miss them!A true part of Hollywood History for any STAR WARS Fan or Film Collector. This reel/film roll is Picture ONLY, (MOS or \"without final mixed sound\". However, since a 35mm Cinemascope Release print was used as the edited picture, there is STEREO Optical Soundtrack on the Workprint.) Many separate magnetic soundtracks (NOT included) were edited separately on an upright Moviola or Flatbed in the 1980\'s to create a final mix for a TV spot or trailer at the time. If you have any other specific technical questions about what this 35mm film is, please ask BEFORE you offer.

Original 35mm Film with a squeezed SCOPE aspect ratio is what you see in the posted PHOTOS. *You will need a Cinemascope OR Anamorphic Projector Lens to view this film in it\'s intended WIDESCREEN un-squeezed glory!*These specific TV SPOTS were only finished in 4:3 aspect ratio for TV in 1981 (as seen on YouTube), since no Networks understood the benefits of letter-boxing in the 1980s. These original WORKPRINT Cuts allow you to see the cuts un-cropped & FULLSCREEN with NO superimposed titles (these were always edited \"Textless\") or Rating Box over the last few shots!!!

You can view BOTH of these cuts as they \"aired on TV\" in 1981 on YouTube under:

\"The Empire Strikes Back 1981 re-release TV trailer\"(The first on-camera dialogue line in this spot is Chewbacca laughing followed by Han saying \"Laugh it up, fuzzball!\")

and the 2nd TV Spot under:

\"The Empire Strikes Back 1981 re-release TV trailer #2\"(The first on-camera dialogue line in this spot is HAN saying \"Watch this...\")

There are original editorialtape splices (2-perf & 4-perf/double-sided) & a few editor grease pencil marks on cut-point frames. There may be minorsprocket hole damage from Moviola editing wear, but that\'s what work pictures are for.(See ALL cool screen grabs taken over a simple light-box for DETAILED IMAGES. Trailers & Television Spots were usually edited and duplicated OR \"Duped\" in the 1970\'s through 1990\'s as each new version was edited for studios. It is quite unusual to find a COLOR & SCOPE Workprint such as these in Original Color Print Theatrical film. VERY UNIQUE & RARE indeed!

As Belloq said to Indiana Jones in Raiders of the Lost Ark: \"All your life has been spent in pursuit of archaeological relics; inside the Ark are treasures beyond your wildest aspirations... You want to see it opened as well as I. Indiana. We are simply passing through history.[pointing to the Ark]This... this is history.[pause]Do as you will.\"

Allcontemporary famous feature films went through WORKPRINT versions for test screenings, Director Cuts, Studio Cuts & Final Cuts, just like the infamous \"Blade Runner\"test-print/workprint screening, which eventually ended up on a later Blu Ray release. Fans of films love to see the creative stages of editing which often includes footage that might have cut from a final edit of a feature film.

NOTE: This isNOTthe Full Feature Film OR an entire movie reel &NOTa DVD.

This is a 35mm Edited Workprint for (2) :30 second TV Trailers (edited specifically for television use) on 35mm film for the 1981 Re-Issue Theatrical Motion Picture Marketing Campaign for STAR WARS: The Empire Strikes Back.
