A terrific and rare example of the sought after Art Deco Bakelite Radio- the ‘Peter Pan’ Made in Melbourne ca 1947 by Eclipse Radio Pty. Ltd.For a terrific history of this radio manufacturer see the great website here- beautiful mottled green and cream bakelite case is in excellent condition as shown. Some surface scuffs and markings however NO cracks or other breaks. Plugged in the radio warms up and tunes fine with light behind the tuning window, and finds stations with a lovely warm tone. That said I couldn’t get the unit to switch off with the other knob, volume worked however radio didn’t ‘click’ off.Sold as is and any repairs or alterations should be carried out by a licensed electrical technician.Height 16 cm x.
