*Original WWI German gas mask, ledermaske.Hard to read but bottom of canister is dated 12, Feb 1918 or 1916.
The gas mask filter is dated 1917.
Canisterhas the name Dion or Pion Collinet painted on cover.
The last name Collinet is also written on one of the gas mask straps
as pictured.
This gas mask is a vet bring back from the estate of a WWI vet from
Peru IL. So I assume he was in the 33rd division. I will include a label with
the vet\'s name to the winning buyer. It is interesting to note that the
name on this mask appears to sound French. Please use the photos
for best description. Lens are clear. Appears to be complete.
Straps are soiled. In my opinion this indicates plenty of field use.
Has a bit of a musty smell as to be expected. I will ship the maske
out of the canister.
