What we have here is a Fantastic Rare Old Alaska Native Northwest Coast Carved and Painted Wood YUPIK Figurative Seal Bowl with additional painted image of a Fish on inside of bowl... approximately 7 5/8 inches long by 3 1/4 inches wide. This is a wonderful old carved piece... just look at the gorgeous details and powerful over all look. Used condition, burn mark inside near fish head, tight hairline natural fissure reverse side tail end... in general Native sculpture may or may not have nicks dings scratches cracks soiling stains loses repairs and imperfections etc that are common to this type of item and sometimes true to the time of creation, see photos for condition... not signed as is common with older pieces, I do not know the exact age but it does have age possibly late 1800s or mid 1900s... look at the photos and you decide to your best judgement what this is, the age, the condition, its completeness and what this is worth.
