Hey Bassists,
Selling one of my slab board Jazzes. This one is an early 62. Neck date is March 1962, and the pots are all dated 304-6209. It\'s totally original with the exception of a high-quality nitro refin in Fiesta Red. I have the original E tuner and will include it in the sale. The three-knob slab board jazzes are in my mind the ultimate Jazz basses, even compared with the stack-knob 1960 models. Even Jaco famously converted his stack knob to a three-knob set up. Guess that three knob has a bit more output than a stacker. This bass plays and sounds like a dream. Please note the small cracks in the back of the neck. These are stable and haven\'t moved since I bought the bass 15 years ago. My tech explained it to me that cracks in this direction aren\'t under stress from the string tension. Obviously a crack parallel to the frets would be an issue, but not in this case.
UPDATE: I will offer a 48 hour approval period so you can take this bass to your tech to confirm the cracks are cosmetic and stable etc. If you choose to return it, you\'ll only be responsible for shipping both ways.
