Hi Brett, thanks for spending some time with us and our questions. We appreciate it a lot. Do you have a favorite Stevie song to listen to? to perform? (Lesley, San Diego, California, USA)

Hi Lesley,

I was just in San Diego last Saturday night playing Street Scene with Chris Isaak and it was a gas. We did it last year as well and its so much fun. I love it down there....

I love all of Stevie's songs, really I do!!! But OK here it is; I absolutely loved playing "Silver Springs" live on The Dance album and tour. "Has Anyone Ever Written Anything For You" is another gem that gets me. (great piano song). "Gypsy" is a fun song to play, "Landslide" is probably one of my all time favorite songs in the world. "Sara" is amazing. "Standback" and "Stop Draggin' My Heart Around" are also incredible. I could go on and on but that gives you an idea of a few of my favs.

On the Dance tour, with Lindsey and Neale Heywood as guitarists as well, which songs did you also play guitar on -- were there songs where all three of you played guitar? (Lesley)

On The Dance tour I think I played guitar and about a third or more of the set which I loved doing. Lindsey, Neale and I played on "The Chain." I played acoustic on that one. Christine's "Temporary One" I played acoustic and that was the three of us. Lindsey's "My Little Demon" I played guitar on with Lindsey and Neale, "Silver Springs" I played acoustic on as well as "Go Your Own Way" again all three of us on guitars and finally I played electric guitar with Lindsey & Neale on the encore song 'Farmer's Daughter." It made for a nice full sound having the three guitars sometimes.

Do you remain in contact with Mick? Having been in the last incarnation of the Zoo, did you get any feeling about whether that was to be the last Zoo band/album? Do you know if Mick still has any plans or desires to keep the Zoo going in some kind of incarnation in the future? (Lesley)

I usually speak to Mick from time to time but it seems he has fallen off my radar screen as of late. I saw him in Hawaii this last year when I was gigging with Chris Isaak on Maui and we had a nice visit. I know he has spent quite a bit of time in England doing some projects and we haven't gotten together in a while. As far as The Zoo, I really don't know what he is thinking. With Mick you never know. He is the best and I miss him dearly....

As you alluded to in a previous answer, gossip and rumors never cease about public figures. Being famous, but also especially because of being part of Fleetwood Mac's unique history in terms of interpersonal turmoil and strained friendships, there has always been a ton of gossip and speculation about the members of this band, even these days. Sometimes, even when untrue, gossip can be fairly harmless. But often, it spreads superficial, skewed, if not outright mean-spirited and false impressions, encouraging harsh feelings towards the subject of the rumor. Obviously the nature of the rumor might affect how feel about it, but having spent some time with the members of this much gossiped about band, can you tell if that sort of gossip or speculation hurts or bothers any of them much at this point in their careers? Can they laugh about it? (Lesley)

I can only tell you that as people we all get hurt by comments, rumors, or accusations especially when they are false or incorrect. The members of Fleetwood Mac are all very grown up people now. They have been through everything imaginable and still have still managed to let the music do the talking. I cannot and would not speak for any of them but I can only tell you I think at this point in their collective lives they are pretty much "over" all the B__ S___. ya dig??????

In this Q&A forum, we've gotten some fairly diverse opinions about each member of FM from different people. It's always interesting for us to hear each new thought and opinion. If it's not too much trouble, could you select a few words or relay a few thoughts that describe how you think of each member? Thanks again Brett. Best of luck to you! (Lesley)

I'm going to make this short and sweet....

Mick: A real gentleman and has a great feel on drums.
John: Very intelligent, bass groove king and is 'The Captain."
Chris: Sweet, beautiful touch on the keyboards, sparking eyes and warm heart.
Stevie: Giving caring person, soulful, knows and gets what she wants.
Lindsey: To himself, A thinker, Passionate and plays with all his heart.

Hope that helps in some small way...

Brett

Hi Brett. Thank you so much for participating in this Q&A! I have read several articles about Stevie's forthcoming album and have heard there is a 'world music' vibe to it. Can you confirm or deny? Her past albums have had a little bit of dance, country and rock mixed in. Can you give us a hint of what type of music to expect from Stevie this time around? (Tracy Garner, Atlanta, Georgia, USA)

Hello Tracy,

It's not something I can really put into words. I guess the term "World music" in someway fits but it's pure Stevie. Just at this stage in her life it reflects where she is at now. I think you're going to enjoy it but you're just going to have to wait a little while longer to hear for yourself. Glad to hear people are excited to hear it. Thanks for the question.

Brett

During the Dance tour, did the Mac ever get together as a group after a show or while traveling and just hang out or have dinner together? Did you do anything special after the final date of the "official" Dance tour? (Tracy Garner)

Hello again,

Because we had our own 727 jet we would all be flying together from city to city so by being around each other so much of the time the band would eat and hang out and talk, etc., all the time. The only real time anyone got real private time was when we would go to our rooms for much needed sleep for the next days events. I remember the promoters threw this big "end of the tour" party in Chicago for the band and everyone involved with the tour. It was at an Italian restaurant called Carmine's. It was absolutely amazing!!! Great food, lots of adult beverages and everyone stood up and gave toasts and made speeches and stuff. It was great. Wouldn't have wanted to pick up that check on that night though. Yikes!!!!

Were you a part of the *special* things the Mac did after the Dance tour ended (like the Brit awards)? If so, what was that like? (Tracy Garner)

Hi again Tracy,

Yeah I did do the Brit awards and The Grammy's after the tour ended. It was a bitter sweet kind of thing for me. I can't speak for anyone else but it was like. Well, the tours over and here we are playing at these award shows and this is going to be it. Kind of sad because we all knew it was about over for playing live for who knows how long. I just wanted it to keep going on and not stop. Thanks for the question....

The Dance

From what I've read, the Dance video was filmed over two or three days. Were there any special moments that you recall which were not included in the video release? I have seen a picture from one of those nights where Lindsey and Stevie are standing together at one mic...did they happen to do a duet? (Tracy Garner)

The Dance took three days to film and record. We spent weeks rehearsing before the big shoot but they took the best stuff from the three days and put it together. There were of course some things that happened that no one saw unless you were there. One thing that comes to mind is when Stevie forgot the words to one of her songs. Can't remember now which song it was but she was so nervous that she just went blank. So we stopped the song and she mad a sweet comment to the audience about how nervous she was and the audience even loved her more for being so real and open about it. She didn't try to cover it up, or make excuses or get upset she just picked up and we started the song again and it was great. Never will forget those three days....

I don't remember the picture you are talking about or them doing a duet but there was so much going on during those three days it could have happen and I just didn't notice it.

As a member of the Dance yourself, did you experience some of the magic that captivated so many of us when John's bass came on strong during the Chain or when Chris, Lindsey and Stevie joined voices on the chorus? Did it become old hat after 40 shows? How do you keep it fresh after performing the same set list night after night? (Tracy Garner)

Tracy,

Hi, I feel like we're becoming friends through all of these questions. Glad you are so interested.

Yes, I experienced the magic the very first day of rehearsals in North Hollywood where the rehearsal studio was. I'll never forget when we started playing the first song, it might have been Dreams or whatever song it was. But I just sat there at my keyboard listening to the sound in my monitor of Stevie, Lindsey, Chris, Mick & John and just literally getting goose bumps at how cool it was and I also remember thinking; oh, I get it, this is the chemistry that made this work. That combination of those 5 people really is magic. That also was what it was like every night on the tour. It wasn't hard to keep it fresh every night for me because it was so much fun playing those songs. I really think by the end of the tour we were so tight as a band that had we extended the tour it would have just gotten better. We'll never know will we??????

I'm sure I'll talk to you later..

Brett

At the last FM show in 97 at the end of Go Your Own Way...Lindsey marched up to Stevie and gave her a huge kiss. Stevie looked very, very shocked. Do you know what that was all about? (IMO, she looked like she wanted to hit him on the head with her tambourine! LOL! heh, heh.) Did Stevie say anything about it afterwards (They walked off stage hand-in-hand after that one)? (Jensen, Larksville, Pennsylvania, USA)

Hi Jensen,

She probably was surprised, but not in a bad or weird way. It was probably just unexpected that's all. Never heard a word mentioned about it backstage or after the show. Just real affection from old friends that's all......

Brett

Hi again Brett! In one of your previous answers you said that all the emotions the Mac give on stage are true and real. I was wondering if they connected off stage? Did they get along when the music stopped? Who liked to hang out with whom? Do you think they'll work together again as Fleetwood Mac? Thanks! (Jensen)

Jensen, Hello again..

The Dance is the only tour I ever did with Fleetwood Mac so I don't have any previous tours to judge how different this tour was from others from the past. But from where I was everyone seemed to get along real well. As I matter of fact for all the years of the intense drama that was so much a part of Fleetwood Mac I was surprised at just how mellow everyone was on the tour. There were no "cliques" of certain people hanging out exclusively more than others. They would all interact with each other and nothing seemed weird in that sense. Everyone was so busy traveling, sounchecking doing shows, meeting people that to be honest with you it flew by very fast. Everyone was very tired when we finished. Bye again.....

Hi-- I was wondering since you have said that Stevie's new album is so great if you could drop a few song titles or what you think they are called if she didn't tell you? I would also like to know if you know if the AHI benefit is going to be made into a live album and if not do you think she will ever release a live album? (John Kandalaft, Attleboro, Massachusetts, USA)

~and~

I also want to thank you for taking the time to do this Q&A. Sounds like you really enjoy your "job" and have worked with some really great people. You said you had a chance to listen to most of Stevie's new CD. I remember seeing a track listing posted to a newsgroup which included duets with Lindsey (Races Are Run) and Sheryl Crow (Sorcerer). Can you tell us the names of any of the songs on the CD? (Judy LaFleur, Vancouver, Washington, USA)

I can't really say anything about song titles yet. Stevie actually has recorded more songs than she can put on the album so until it is completely mixed and mastered I think it's best to wait and see which ones make the cut....

I'm not sure if they are planning on recording the AHI benefit show or not. I have not heard anything about that to be quite honest. Not a bad idea though.....

My question is can you give us any clue about the release date for Stevie's new CD? We fans have been waiting for a long time. The anticipation is killing us...lol (John Lilleston, Tampa, Florida, USA)

Hello John,

Man, I feel your pain. Originally I'd heard the record company wanted it out this year, now I hear that it won't be released this year due to the amount of time it takes to get it ready and packaged for the holidays. All I've heard at this point is it will be released sometime early next year. But the way things change I don't count on anything until I see it in the stores. I'd like to know as much as you. When the new CD comes out, we'll go out and tour and I can't wait......

Hi Brett...You know I am sorry to say but I did not see you or Neale back there in the shadows behind the band playing on The Dance Video! When you say you play rhythm guitar and keyboards ..I understand...but how does one *play* a synthesizer ? Can you tell I am not a musician so much as just a singer? Do you manipulate keys in some way to enhance the mix or what? I am just curious how this works!

The chemistry between The Mac was very apparent and all the special tender moments added to our pleasure! :-)

When The USC Marching Band came on stage what did you do? Were you part of the fun? That was a great moment especially as they reprised it from Tusk...a good one I thought! Chris was so cute as she seemed delighted with this part...she must be a true musical joy to work with! I have read that Lindsey really admires her musical talents immensely! There was so much creativity and fun in this reunion that we just thank you all for a grand Moment with The Mac !!! Cheers for great Musicians! (Charlotte Ann, North Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA)

Hi Charlotte Ann,

Yeah, In the video you had to know where to look to see Neale or myself lurking in the background playing our instruments. Their were also three other people doing backing as well. Lenny Castro played percussion and their were two female singers from Stevie's band Sharon Celani and Mindy Stein who were also part of the backing people. The road crew had a nickname for us five they called us the "Mini Mac." (ha ha) Of course the main focus in the video and the tour was 'The Big Five" Stevie, Lindsey, Christine, Mick and John and rightfully so. If you saw the live show we were very much visible from the audience and were introduced every night by Mick in the middle of the show. It was a real honor to be up there with them on stage every night. If you own the CD "The Dance" you can find the names of the five "additional musicians" in the CD's inner sleeve.

One plays a synthesizer very much like any other keyboard but instead of having just one sound like a piano or an organ it can emulate thousands of other sounds as well. I can't get into the whole thing here and now but as an overview a synthesizer can be made to sound like almost anything these days. Meaning it can play string sounds, horn sounds, bells, and almost anything your mind can come up with. A synthesizer is a programmable keyboard that lets you manipulate and emulate or invent almost any sound.

Yeah, I was there when marching band was doing there thing. Wasn't that cool? I was playing a keyboard part on "Tusk" and "Don't Stop Thinking About Tomorrow." Chris really did enjoy that one. I believe she played accordion on Those two songs. That was fun.....

Take care and God Bless,

Brett

HEY Brett, thanks for answering my question....AWESOME! Well, I have another one. Stevie's next tour....anyone unexpected to be playing with her? Maybe another back up singer (I loved when Sara Fleetwood was on tour for the Street Angel album) And...maybe Waddy? or Lori to join her again? Just curious..and I'm counting down till the AHI show...I'll wave to ya! :-)))) (Shawn Collins, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA)

Hi ya Shawn,

Well Waddy is playing with us again and I am having a ball with him in the band. He plays so great. Not sure about anyone unexpected at the moment but the band you hear at the AHI show may very well be what you hear on tour next year. Stay tuned OK? I'll wave back at ya.....

Brett

Hi. Since you have already heard Stevie new record ( lucky you!)..do you have any idea when it might be out...??? Thanks!! (Terri, Long Island, New York, USA)

Hey Terri, I just responded to someone else wanting to know the same thing. Should be early next year but no release date has yet been set. Once everything is perfect and packaged they'll get it out there and we'll go out on a nice long Stevie Nicks world tour. I can't wait.........See you out there OK??????

Hello again Brett. Thanks for answering my earlier question. I think it is great that you are so candid about your experiences. Will Stevie be playing any of her new music from the album she has yet to release at the AHI Benefit concert? I know I speak for a lot of her fans when I say the Frustration is killing us! Talk about this album release has been going on for a year now! What is the sound like? Has she changed her style a little? Or she still the same? I know she had Dallas Austin in the studio with her and I REALLY hope she puts some of that on top her album. I think he is great and she could do with some of the more modern funky sounds that are out right now. One more question...will she be considering a World Tour? I would love to see her but a flight to the US and everything else involved can be expensive... (Michelle, Milton Keynes, United Kingdom)

Hi Michelle,

The AHI Benefit show will not have any songs from the new album yet as we haven't had a chance to really rehearse the new songs for a live show yet. Also, Because this is a benefit that includes "guest artists" we will do a variety of different songs with each guest artist which will be a lot of fun. I'm afraid everyone will just have to wait until the new CD comes out which will probably be sometime in March. After it's release we will embark on a world tour that will hopefully bring us to the UK so you won't have to worry about the air fare. Now I don't want to get your hopes up that Stevie is definitely going to play the UK next year but I have heard she wants to do an extensive world tour and how can you do a world tour and not play the UK?

The songs she did with Dallas Austin were pretty cool but I don't know how many will make the final cut. As we speak it the final order and mixes are just being completed. As I have said before, her new CD is pure Stevie. The songs and sounds reflect where she is at this point in her life. I think you will be love a lot of the new songs, just hang in there. Good chatting with you and take care.

Hi again Brett! Just want to thank you for being so sweet for answering my question about Waddy and the accusations that surrounded him. It really is a relief to learn that, once again, this was just a situation that was perceived as larger than it really was. I hope you can understand that Stevie's fans were just wanting to get to the bottom of it. I know that your answer will at least enlighten all of us to what happened!

I have one more question for you if you don't mind. Stevie has spoken in the past about how she always wears fancy dresses as her attire on stage because she feels that this gives her more respect than when she used to go up on stag e in more casual clothes. I think she would look terrific in whatever style of clothing she wore! I was just wondering if Stevie has different style clothing off the stage. For instance, when she sits around in a casual setting does she wear a pair of jeans or does she always wear dresses even when off stage? (Melissa Emmerson, Cape Coral, Florida, USA)

Hi again Melissa,

Everyone needs to know that the incident with Waddy was overblown and we all have put it behind us. There are tough lessons to learn in life and the press can be brutal when they smell blood.

Stevie always wears her fabulous dresses on stage but she doesn't wear a fancy dress all of the time. As a matter of fact she has been wearing some pretty hot looking bright colored pants to rehearsals lately that look great. She wears a lot different kinds of clothes to rehearsals or just hanging out. I don't remember seeing her in jeans though but I'm not with her all the time...... Take care.

Brett-- Thanks so much for doing the Q and A. For us fans this is the most incredible opportunity to talk to those close to the Mac. Probably as close as we'll ever get to them=:-)

First, when you see Stevie tell her she has a fan out here called Vianna and that there's many a night her music helped me to sleep in those last two or three years when my mother was ill and I was the primary caregiver. I was so stressed out by nighttime I usually couldn't fall asleep - too wired. I'd play something like Storms or Beautiful Child over and over..Sara will always be my favorite Mac song and was the one that "hooked" me on the Mac..

My question is - in an earlier answer you referred to John as "The Captain". I was wondering if you could explain that a little more? I love John - he seems so sweet and kind of understated..and like Chris and Lindsey, doesn't get the credit he deserves.

Are you in the video of the The Dance? If you are where should I look for you? You can see Mindy and Sharon but I never noticed anyone else-didn't know where to look for you. Did you get to meet any of the band members' families? Eddy Quintela for instance? What were they like? Chris is great, isn't she? You haven't seen her lately though have you? (Vianna, Alexandria, Virginia, USA)

Hi Vianna, That' so cool that Stevie could help you chill out when you were so stressed, that must have been tough on you. I also love the song Sara.

I referred to John as "The Captain" because he is and has been for years into sailing his big beautiful sailboat. John loves the sea and he has spent many days and weeks sailing the world in his amazing ship. Besides music, sailing is his passion. He loves it.

Yes, I am in the video The Dance. I am playing guitar and a keyboard behind Christine and John. If you look closely you can see me back there in a few shots.

I did meet a lot of different family members out there on tour but cannot recall Eddy Quintela but that doesn't mean he wasn't there at one or more of the shows.

I agree that Christine is awesome but I haven't seen her in quite a long time now. I miss her very much and hope to see her sometime soon but she's living back in England now so it's not like she's right here in LA anymore. Take care and see you on the next tour I hope.

How did rehearsals go today for the upcoming benefit concert? There must be a lot of anticipation and excitement in the air! Tell Stevie we love her and can't wait for the new record. Give her a big kiss for me!!!! (Joe, Erlanger, Kentucky, USA)

Hello Joe,

Rehearsals went great today thank you. It was a long one though. It is now 2 AM and I am here typing away to unwind and get ready for a good night's sleep. We start up again tomorrow with Lindsey and I'm looking forward to seeing him again. We are all excited about the upcoming AHI Benefit and are working hard to get everything just right. It would be my pleasure to give Stevie a big kiss for you. ha ha.....lucky me huh?

Hello sir! Great Q&A! Maybe you can answer a question for me about the Enchanted tour? My hometown of Springfield, Illinois is about 100 miles northeast of St. Louis. You guys were to play the Riverport Ampitheatre (in St. Louis) on Saturday, July 11, if memory serves correctly. Posters were printed, promotional mailers were sent out (having paid for FM's Dance tickets with VISA the previous November, they got my address, undt voila, advertisements in the mail), we got seats really close to the stage (!!!) ... then a week after I bought the tickets (very early on), the show got cancelled and that night was rebooked for Kansas City. Which booking agent do I need to slap?! Is there more then one, 'cause I could get busy?!

Do you have any recollection of that shake-up, or the reason behind the change? Not getting a chance to see Stevie up close after all the impact her music has had on my life was bad enough ... what made it worse was that I was the guy who had to break the news to my Stevie-wannabe wife (and just by me saying "Stevie-wannabe," you already know there was hell to pay, don't you ... even though I had nothing to do with it, don't you! Hope you're grinning here ...). I suppose I don't really expect an answer, as things like that probably happen all the @#$%ing time, but thank you very much for letting me vent two years after the fact!

Wow! To stand in your shoes for five minutes on either stage (Dance or Enchanted) would be something I could never forget. You sir, are one fortunate man! Take care, and thank you for this opportunity to read about your experiences. (Tim Bucci, Springfield, Illinois, USA)

Hi Tim,

I feel your pain on that one. Nothing more frustrating than looking forward to something and having it completely change on you. I remember that happening only a couple of times though on the entire tour. That kind of stuff is unfortunate but it does happen. I really don't remember the reason for the change in dates. Hopefully you and the "Stevie-wannabe wife" can see Stevie's tour next year.

You're right, I am one fortunate man, don't I know it. I hope you don't ever have to go through any more canceled shows again. All the best.....

Hi again...With all the internet sites devoted to Stevie, and Fleetwood Mac....Do you visit many of them often? And do you surf the net at all? And if you do...what are some of your fave sites (ie...music sites, games, info/news, etc) I know I adore the Nicksfix and the Penguin...but I never get away from Billboard online. Being a music addict, I tend to go to anything in that area....and since you are a musician, was wondering if it did to you as well. Thanks so much..counting down the days till AHI. (Shawn Collins, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA)

Hello again Shawn,

Yeah I do a fair amount of surfing the net. I check out music sites but mainly in the music software department. I also use the net to update my software, do online banking, etc. I use a Mac in my home studio and there are some amazing programs to help you be creative. Plus it is a lot of fun to explore this planet of ours. Happy surfing to you and take care.....

Hi Brett! Thanks so much for your great answers to everyone's questions. I am writing in regard to John and Christine McVie. Over the years, in various interviews, I've gotten the impression that those two have really gotten over any past anger at each other and have developed a really nice friendship. She seemed so proud that he was 'actually singing' on Say You Love Me. :-) I was wondering if you have any insight to how they got along on the road, if they 'hung out' together and seemed to enjoy each other's company. Also, was John's daughter Molly on the road with the band for any of the Dance tour? Thanks again and take care! (Kerri, Seattle, Washington, USA)

Hi Kerri,

You are very perceptive. Christine and John have developed a good friendship over the years. They got along very well on the road and because they played together on the same stage almost every night and traveled together on the same jet all the time they did obviously spend a lot of time together. They have been through so much over the years and now are good friends that respect each other which is a very positive thing. Yeah, Molly would come out and visit John on the road sometimes, she is such a doll and John is so proud. He absolutely adores her. All the best to you.

Hello, Brett! I'm so glad to have the opportunity to ask you a few questions. You're very generous for doing this for the fans.....

What does pre-show backstage typically consist of? Are all the players usually there? (I know that typically, Stevie always goes onstage exactly 1 hour and fifteen minutes after the scheduled showtime.) In the case of Stevie's band, is there something the band does all together to "hype" up for the show? How about Stevie, herself? (Kelly Anne, Phoenix, Arizona, USA)

Hi Kelly Anne,

Before the show the backstage area is secured for The band and encouraged to have something to eat, relax and get ready for the night's performance. It's really not as glamorous as people may think. The band does a soundcheck and has only has a couple of hours to get ready to go out there and put on a great show. Actually, on The Dance tour the shows started very much on time which kind of surprised me. I think they were more notorious for being late in the earlier days. Remember, I only did one record and tour with Fleetwood Mac so I couldn't tell about the thousand of earlier shows. Stevie's "Enchanted tour" was also pretty much on time to start the show.

As far as with Stevie, just before showtime her entire band usually goes into her dressing room to hang with her and get up for that evenings show. Stevie usually is playing some music on her stereo and everybody starts talking and getting pumped up for the show. We all start feeling the excitement building when we know it's almost time to hit the stage. Its really very cool......

How do you feel about the recording of live performances? If they are not being offered commercially, do you object to fans recording a live performance? If so, do you have any specific reasons for your objections? Have you ever discussed such recording with Stevie or the band and what, if any, is the majority opinion? Do you know if Stevie objects to her fans having unreleased demo recordings?

Thank you, again, for giving us a little insight into the performer's world. (Kelly Anne)

I think most artists are sensitive to being recorded live. The bummer about stuff being recorded without your knowledge is you never know where it will wind up. Sometimes there are people who will record you and have to nerve to turn around and try to sell the recordings overseas or whatever. I don't recall discussing this exact subject with the band but I am speaking on how I feel about it. Artists spend months making a studio record and prepare very hard to make a legitimate live recording as well. I just think if people want a recording they should just go buy the one the band releases at the local record store and come to the shows to enjoy the live performance not "bootleg" a recording. I'm not sure what Stevie's feelings are on this matter. Music is how we as artists and musicians communicate to the world so we want people to hear it. Hope to see you on tour, take care........

Hi Brett! Thanks so much for answering questions! I think you are very talented and I am looking forward to hearing you play again in Arizona next week. On to my question. I was at one of the "New Years Tour" shows on December 29th and was so touched at the emotion Stevie showed. She seemed incredibly amazed that we all knew all of the words to her songs and sang along with her, almost as if she were unaware of how important she is to us fans. Did she talk about this at all? And is she as truly unaffected as she seems? She seems so down to earth and approachable, not at all like someone who is so famous and universally loved! Thanks again! (Connie, Stockton, California, USA)

Hi Connie,

Thank you for the kind words and I am glad you are coming to the AHI Benefit show in Phoenix, I know you won't be disappointed.

Yes, Stevie gets very touched when she connects with her audience. She loves it when the crowd is into it. I have heard her comment many times on the audience after a show. There are better audiences some nights than others. Stevie is "the real deal," she is very appreciative of her fans. She is very giving and down to earth about so many things. She is absolutely one the most caring people I have ever met. She is a real pleasure to work with...Have a good one, it's time for me to get some sleep.

All the best...

Brett
