Various: Legacy, a tribute to Fleetwood Mac's Rumours

This is a bad idea, and executed terribly. Explanation: in 1977 the lp Rumours came out from Fleetwood Mac, a therapeutic album about the relational tensions within the group. Millions were sold: deservedly because it was one of the best pop albums in history. Because Rumours turns 21 this year and because drummer Mick Fleetwood had nothing to do, he produced a new Rumours: all songs of the original record are recorded by artists of today and Elton John, who didn't have some dead friend to mourn for in the meanwhile. When listening to this I asked myself whether I should call the police. "Officer, I'm an earwitness to the rape of "Rumours". I didn't call, although besides Elton John's Don't Stop also Shawn Colvin's The Chain , Jewel's You make loving fun and The Corrs' Dreams made me sick. The only ones that don't need to be very ashamed are The Cranberries and the Goo Goo Dolls. But it will not do.

Thanks to Mari for posting this to The Ledge and to Anusha for sending it to us.
