Stevie Nicks Among the Nominees for "MusicWomen to Watch"

Rock icon, Stevie Nicks has been nominated for the 1999 Edition of "MusicWomen To Watch." Nicks who performed for years with Fleetwood Mac is back, this time singing songs for motion picture soundtracks such as "Practical Magic" with Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman, appearing at benefits singing a duet with superstar Don Henley for Walden Woods, and releasing a 3 box CD set, "Enchanted," which is heading towards "gold" status. This set was released by Modern Records, a company in which Nicks is a shareholder. Nicks who has been one of the top female rockers for years is like a fine wine...she just gets better and better. Her legion of fans is still strong and a new fan base, made up of the children of her original fans is turning on to her music and buying her records. "We are thrilled that she was nominated and if anyone deserves to be included in this year's book...it's her. She helped open the door for women in music and she's still growing strong," states Catherine Masters, President of MWI. Nicks was nominated by former National Director of Special Events for Graham Brothers Entertainment, Cilene Bosch. " Nicks has always been a role model for women artists and she continues to lead the way for others," states Bosch.
