Ice On-Line News Flash (March 17, 1997) -- "The Los Angeles Times, in yesterday's Sunday Calendar "Pop Eye" section, reported that Fleetwood Mac is, indeed, officially gearing up for a reunion album and tour this year with its most popular line-up: Lindsey Buckingham, Stevie Nicks, Christine McVie, John McVie and Mick Fleetwood. The five musicians have scheduled an "Unplugged"-style taping for May 16 and 17 in Burbank, CA, to be co-produced by Rob Cavallo. The sessions will yield the new album, scheduled to be released before the start of the tour, probably in late summer, the Times reports. A video version of the taping will also appear on MTV and VH1, and possibly see home video release. "Pop Eye" columnist Steve Hochman also reports that the taping session and new album will include three new songs, in addition to selections from the group's catalog. Meanwhile, the release of solo albums from Buckingham (already completed) and Nicks (still being worked on) will probably be delayed until after the tour."
