"Atlanta Journal-Constitution", Living section, Peach Buzz column (August 14, 1997):
"Fleetwood Mac makes a date"
"Atlanta was snubbed by Fleetwood Mac in the full-page ad listing
tour dates in Wednesday's USA Today, but the reunited pop group IS headed
here. Christine McVie, Stevie Nicks, Lindsey Buckingham, John McVie, and
Mick Fleetwood will bring their tour, the Dance -- the title of their reunion
album due in stores Tuesday -- to Lakewood Amphitheatre on Nov. 15. Clay
Schell, Lakewood general manager, said no opening act has been named and that
it likely will be September before tickets go on sale. Reserved seats are
expected to be from $45 to $65. Rival promoter Peter Conlon said that he and
partner Alex Cooley passed on bidding for a Fleetwood Mac date at the Georgia
Dome because performance fees made it a gamble."
Thanks to Phcatman and John Kinney for the submission.
