greatness! Bob Welch was Fleetwood Mac:s loss
Reviewer: Zane Brantley, May 09, 2009 FM's best music was with Bob Welch at the helm. Paris has the classic Welch guitar riffs and his soulful voice. This album is a must have! This album never got the air play it deserved due to format stickling. It just never found a real home. It was the general public's loss
loved this album
Reviewer: Robin, July 31, 2005 I had this album back in 1980 and listened to it to death, have long lost the album and really want to hear it again. So happy to know it is accessable. Definately a sleeper and never got it's due. Just a great rock albulm all the way around. Thanks for offering it!
Paris; short lived but sweet
Reviewer: Anonymous, October 09, 2003 I remember seeing Paris live, which is a rare feat in itself and they were definitely delivering a solid power house trio message. In the midst of all the pioneering rock bands blowing up in arenas, they played in moderate low profile venues. I believe it was a Los Angeles County based city college auditorium, maybe Rancho Dominguez but don't quote me on that. Bob was the first to mount a microphone around a coat hanger and then wrap it around his forehead so he could prance around the stage. Glenn Looked content on just rocking. While it was Bob's song writing vehicle, the band had chemistry to boot for such a spur of the moment impromptu gathering of stars.
While the 2nd album Big Towne did not have the strength of the songs, it has its share of fine moments. Sad to say, with Kiss, Nugent, BOC rising to arena stardom, Paris did not break through. Beautiful Youth, Nazarene and Religion are prime examples of power house trio blazing Marshall stacks. Good stuff.
