I bought this right when it came out. Without a doubt, it is one of the best live albums I've ever listened to. Always been a big fan. I just bought his 2002 live DVD. The guy is great.

Boy, you get the feeling that the reviewer above feels this album is "just mediocre". Are You Nuts!! Dave Mason and this album goes down in history as one of the best all time live albums. This is quintessential Dave Mason in his prime. Jim Krieger's and Daves leads are legendary. The percussion on this album is outstanding. If you don't have this album...get it! It will end up in your car as the one you have to have with you all the time!!!! What was that guy thinking (Barry Manilow?).

5.0/5.05.0/5.05.0/5.05.0/5.05.0/5.0   Often overlooked but essential live album from '70s.

I remember purchasing this LP in college in the late '70s when it was first released. I had no idea who Dave Mason was at the time but got it anyway based on the song titles (many covers but excellently redone). I really loved it right away but over the years I find myself returning to it over and over. I still have never heard Dave live but he is coming to Tampa this January (2005) and I will not miss this show for anything (a Monday show I'm taking a day off work to see). Looking back over my early years of music discovery, it has to be rated as one of the absolute best surprise finds of my college days. I'm keeping my turntable up to snuff just to play this stuff. Might be the best of all the numerous takes of "Feelin Alright" out there! HIGHLY recommended!!!
