This concert was the best ever! I got some incredible shots of the band members! Brian pretty well covered the concert and did a great job! I might mention, Stevie's ribbons on her mic were Red White and Blue :-) She wore her black reeboks until the first encore where she came out in her boots. It seemed to take awhile for them to come back out for the encore and John seemed to be asking Stevie what took so long. She playfully held her foot up to show him she changed into her boots. She was full of smiles last night and her and Lindsey played around like a brother and sister would. AWESOME concert.....Dallas, here I come!

That was the best concert I have ever attended. Since I was a kid I have wanted to see Fleetwood Mac in concert. I can remember listening to Rhiannon on the A.M. radio during the mid seventies and last night when I heard it live it brought back so many memories for me. The band is tighter than ever. Lindsey Buckingham is an unbelievable guitar player and his interactions with the crowd added to his genious. It was sad to see the band sans Christine, however, Stevie did a very good job filling in for her. We got several spins from Stevie.

They played a lot of thier older music and it was great to hear "so afriad" and "never going back again" but when Lindsey let loose with "big love" the house came down. Same with Stevie's "stand back." Mick is an amazing talent and John McVie's presence as the laid back base groover is just the coolest. Over all, I think Lindsey stole the show and it was nice to see the band interacting with each other.

The Ford Center is a great venue and the sound was out of this world. Of course the set was wonderful and the lighting was perfect, not overly done, but just right. It was amazing to see the crowd on the floor surging toward the stage reaching out to touch Lindsey, who really seemed to groove on it. He even got down on the speakers right in front of the stage and let the fans strum his guitar while he fretted, outstanding.

I hope they never stop.

THE BAND HAS AGED WELL. CAN'T BELIEVE THEY ARE STILL AS TIGHT AS THEY WERE IN THE 80'S. OTHER THAN HIGH TICKET PRICES ($125) AND THE $6 BEER IT WAS AN EXCELENT NIGHT. THEY PLAYED ONLY FOUR SONGS OFF OF THE NEW CD AND THE ONLY SONG I COULD THINK OF THAT THEY MISSED WAS "OH WELL". 2 1/2 HOUR , 23 SONG SET. AWESOME!!!!!!!!!

A great time guaranteed for all...

Let me start off by saying to the people who have said that Stevie was lacking energy on this tour at previous shows do not know what the hell they are talking about. I have never seen her smile so much in concert before, She seemed to be enjoying herself immensely and her energy level was way high for tonite's show...But Lindsey's energy was off the wall. He was the consumate musician tonite, He was there to entertain and dammit, Did he ever.

The setlist was basically the same as the previous shows, no deviance at all. The sellout crowd in attendance were into this show from the dimming of the houselights that signaled the start of the show til the end of the show. And for once, the audience seemed to "love", I mean "LOVE" singing along with the songs (ie-"Landslide"...The crowd ate it up word-for-word.) whereas at other shows I've attended at the Ford Center the singing was a bit lower-keyed (Yes, Even at the Paul McCartney show!!!), But not tonite. Having 16th row (Dead center) seats made all the difference in the world!

The highlights:
"Eyes Of The World"-This new arrangement makes this "Mirage" classic a hard rocking song. The only funny thing is that a few fans seated near me seemed to have thought this was a new track from the "Say You Will" album.

"Rhiannon"-The fans were singing along word-for-word and Stevie seemed very rocking as she sang and rocked out. I prefer this regular version over the piano intro version from the "Dance" tour.

"Come"-Lindsey brought the house down with his physical showmanship on this song. He received a thunderous standing ovation afterwards. He reminded me of a "robot gone amuck".

"Landslide"-WOW!!! I have never heard so many fans singalong to one song in my life. Stevie seemed to be enjoying herself and decided to stand behind Lindsey during the guitar solo (It was funny because you could just barely see her). A classic performance of a classic song.

"Gold Dust Woman"-Stevie was way into GDW tonite, She was living the song as she sang it...'Nuff said!!!

"I'm So Afraid"-The return of Lindsey's "robot gone amuck" part 2!!! And ya know what? He didn't break a single string on ISA or even on "Come" as he has at previous shows!!! And I agree with 107.7 KRXO's after show broadcast , He "was a madman that stole the show & rocked"!

Tusk-"Stevie & Lindsey do the hokey pokey"...Quite literally too! When Lindsey does his usual moving/charge towards Stevie's/John's side of the stage he first kinda rammed John from the rear and then started jumping up and down, Almost wanting to jump on John's back. Then he started his approach towards Stevie, Who was clearly motioning with her head "No". He started to circle her and she circled back at him and then they gabbed hands and did a kind of "Hokey pokey/square dance" thing that was classic & everyone in attendance could see how much fun those two were having, A classic moment!!!

"World Turning"/Mick's Drum Solo-The fans were way into Mick's drum solo. And I have to admit I was too...Watching his facial expressions & "Bugged-eyed" looks was hilarious! After his solo when he introduced the band he introduces John McVie as "his partner in crime for many years", John raised five fingers to which Mick replied "Oh...Only 5 years?" which was greeted with a big jolly laugh by John.

Overall, this was the best show I have seen at the Ford Center. The band was full of high energy for their first return to OKC after 20+ years...And they definitely delivered in my opinion. The fans in the MAJOR nose-bleed seats behind the stage (I say those fans were about 4-5 stories up!) were just as enthusiastic as the fans on the floor. I can safely guarantee that Fleetwood Mac won't wait another 20+ years to return to Oklahoma City!!!

Brian j.

ps-I also met up with several "Ledgies"-Livia, shackin' up (Gerald) & OKLandslide (Tammy). Can't wait til tomorrow to go through the experience of another Fleetwood Mac show (Dallas July 3rd)!!!
