Rock icons Rod Stewart and Stevie Nicks will be rehearsing their upcoming tour in a West Palm Beach high school next month, and 20 to 30 students will get to work with the show’s crew during their week of practice.

The singer of Maggie May and Gasoline Alley and the Fleetwood Mac hottie, pairing up for what could be one of concert season’s biggest draws, are scheduled into the campus of the G-Star School of the Arts March 14 with eight semis stuffed with equipment.

The tour kicks off March 20 at the BankAtlantic Center in Sunrise.

But first, Stewart and Nicks, 62, will be fine-tuning their gig on the brand spanking new 120-by-80 sound stage at the charter school, which specializes in movie, television and music production.

The use of the venue is free of charge to those willing to provide the students with experience-gaining opportunities.

“Rod and Stevie love the kids,” said school founder and CEO Greg Hauptner. “They’ve invited the kids to work with them and the crew. They’ve been very accommodating.”

And, yes, even today’s teens know who Rod Stewart and Stevie Nicks are. So, the selection process of the pint-sized helpers will be strict.

“The kids need to apply to work on the sound stage,” Hauptner said.”They need to have good grades and be trained in stage etiquette and safety.”

Stewart, 65, won’t have far to go to rehearse. He’s been living in his Palm Beach home just south of Mar-a-Lago non-stop since November.
