Fleetwood Mac Awesome

Fleetwood Mac came to the Sprint Center in KC, MO last night and was just awesome. Played for 2 hours and 45 minutes with 2 encores. Every great Fleetwood Mac hit you would want to hear. Yeah, it would have been nice to have Christie McVie as well, but the remaining four, plus their phenomenal backup (is the backup singer Laurie Nicks, Stevie's daughter?!?) just kicked ass! Lots of great moments and energy on stage, yet always on our minds was that this was a bunch of 60'ish year olds--still rockin' it out! Lindsey Buckingham's guitar playing ranged from crazy electric solo's to heartfelt soulful acoustic duets with Stevie. Stevie's voice is one of the most unique in rock and roll, and powered through the rockers and pierced your soul on the ballads. John McVie's bass was, as Mick Fleetwood said at the end, "The backbone of Fleetwood Mac." And what can you say about the frantic smiling crazy energetic playing of Mr. Fleetwood himself. The guy is having fun and making great music at the same time. Truly the heart of the band. After seeing the likes of Elton John, Billy Joel, The Police, and The Eagles at the Sprint Center, our new most favorite show is Fleetwood Mac. It was just total 'awesomeness!!!'

This was my first FM live concert after all these years. It was awesome! All the band members were on top of their game all night long. I especially was impressed with Lindsey's guitar work on "I'm So Afraid," "Oh, Well Pt. 1," and "Big Love." Stevie's voice was perfect and she seemed to be having a great time. Mick and John were as solid as we've come to expect them to be! If you were wondering, this show is worth seeing! GO SEE THEM!
