I was a big fan in the early years and really enjoyed "Future Games", "Bare Trees" and especially the "Mystery To Me" albums. The Nicks, McVie, McVie, Buckingham and Fleetwood era took it to another level. Regarding the performance on March 14, 2009, I offer the following:
The venue was amazing for sound and the big screens helpful for the sight if you didn't have seat close in. Stevie's vocals were near duplicative of earlier years but with a few minor instances. Her stage presence was great and very Nicksish. Lindsey's guitar licks, riffs and vocals were unbelievable. He has gotten better with age. John McVie was vintage John McVie, nuff said. Mick Fleetwood can pound the skins like a teenager and performed a great solo. And to top it off, I always believed Mick to be a person of very few words. He surprised me with his on stage narrative which was cool, although I had some difficulty understanding everything he said. I did hear him say "The Mac is back". One can only hope they hit the recording studio once again. I only wish Christine McVie would have been on the tour. That would have made it absolutely perfect. All in all, I would rate the event as a 9.7 out of 10. This was the third time I have seem them in concert. Once in early 70's, once in early 80's and last weekend. I was mentally enlightened for the first two shows and witnessed last weekend's event perfectly straight. I have to say that I enjoyed the 3/14/09 concert the best even w/o the benefit of heightened senses.
