www.bobwelch.com reports that on July 16th, '08, at 7PM Pacific, Bob will  be doing a special Internet concert via Second Life, the virtual 3D world.  

As part of the grand opening concert for Gibson Island, the official Second Life presence of Gibson Guitar Corp , Bob will perform some live acoustic songs in the virtual world with an avatar they are making to look like him, aptly named "BobWelch Magic ."  The avatar will be holding a Gibson acoustic guitar, while Bob performs live on one of the stages on the island.  Bob will be doing this show from the real life home of avatar Von Johin www.vonjohin.com and will be joined by another avatar musician, Cypress Rosewood www.cypressrosewood.com .

Second Life is free to join, so if you want to "attend" the concert, go to www.secondlife.com, and join it, then make your way to Gibson Island at 7PM SL Time (which is the same as Pacific time), and grab a seat for this free show. If you can't get into Second Life for the show , you can stream it using WinAmp or iTunes software by opening the URL: http://www.vonjohin.com:8888.
