Peter's drummer, Cozy Powell, killed in car crash

April 7, 1998: It was reported on BBC Ceefax that Cozy Powell, Peter Green's drummer in the Splinter Group, was killed in a car crash. Apparently his car hit the crash barrier on the M4 motorway just outside Bristol in England. He was 50 years old. More information is available from the Cozy Powell website.
