( )Phil Everly Classics recordings Review written by Chucky Papworth (luckychucky1947@yahoo.com) from New Port Richey Florida U S A, September 2nd, 2010 Ive listened to Everly Brothers since 1956 and could always pick out Phils voice and consider it one of the most harmonic beautiful soothing voice on the planet bar none.His solo albums recorded in Europe have some of the best music either brother has ever recorded. January Butterfly ,Lion and the Lamb Feather Bed etc etc I cant believe they were not more popular but then the 70's were a confusing time for good music and they really didnt have a catagory for there harmonic music. It wasnt really country or pop I considered it new age harmony . The air that I breath made popular by Hollys had no comparison to Phils version. Ive seen them many times live but their scedules are hard to find I wish someone would fill me in on where they still preform.if they do. |
