You know, hard work makes anybody hungry and recording at the Greater Pentecostal Temple in Kansas City all day was hard, so I invited my co-producer, Chuck Howard, and crew to Maxine’s. Man! Talk about smacking your lips - those were the best pork chops I had ever eaten...They melted in your mouth. I ate two, Chuck Howard only ate one, and while driving back to the hotel, Chuck quietly said “Man, why did I leave that last pork chop”. Bingo! I went to my room and wrote “Last Pork Chop”. Thanks Chuck and Maxine. | Appears On | |
