Scrapes the bottom of the barrel but still some greats
Review written by John Fitzgerald, March 5th, 2005 By all accounts, this is a highly disguised compilation of Peter's solo material left in the vaults at the time but there are some great numbers like the slide guitar rocker "Bad bad feeling" and the yearning of "Big boy now" but although I think the opener "What am I doing here" isn't as bad as some have made out, the instrumental "Bandit" is atmospheric, "Gotta do it with me" has a certain urgency and "Funky jam" is rather unusual sounding, these, and the rest of the songs are mediocre with a very tinny sound and the Kolors band is not as tight as the White sky band was although they are tighter than the albums preceding "White sky", this is still obvious why they were shelved but I'm still going to recommend it for "Bad bad feeling" & "Big boy now" if nothing else.
